LIGHTS
Generally, we do not use on-camera lights when filming weddings, as close bright lights can make people uncomfortable. However, we might set up 1 or 2 standing lights over an area that is a bit too dark. Good natural lighting & well-lit venues are always an advantage, so please double check that there are plenty of lights with your wedding planner. (a healthy dose of fairy lights also make for incredibly romantic wedding footage)
CAMERA
Our high - quality cameras capture the day in 4k quality and at higher frame rates which enable us to slow down the moments, capturing every emotion. Prime lenses are used to capture all the intricate highlights & shadows. Gimbal - stabilizers are used to create that amazing, ultra-smooth motion fit for the big screen. This eliminates camera shake completely & enables more creative filming.
SOUND
A range of audio recording equipment is used: Lapel microphones are placed discretely on the Groom & the Officiate / Rabbi / Priest. These provide excellent audio recording during the service & speeches. The Bride can also wear one upon request.
A high - quality sound recorder is plugged into the DJ / Sound board to record the main microphone sound & the music played. A small, directional, on-camera microphone is used to clearly record the ambient, room audio & interview audio.
ACTION
Time to get you married!
We will be filming almost everything to make sure we don't miss anything.
We arrive early in the morning to get those beautiful establishing shots of the venue. Thereafter we focus on the décor, retinue and everything else to follow...
After about 10 - 12 hours we are ready to wrap up with the final scene of the couple dancing or being led out in some romantic or fun way.
